Our Vineyard
The vineyard is located on 56 acres in the Hudson River Valley region, in Middletown, NY. The orientation and terroir provide stability for the roots and protection from frost and disease. The silt loam helps to fertilize the land with nutrients that encourage growth. It’s the perfect combination of sand, silt and, clay. This mixture allows water and nutrients to penetrate the soil and provides adequate drainage with minimal intervention for a strong healthy root system.
Our Grapes
Rosina’s vineyard exclusively produces the grapes used in our estate wines. Currently, we have over 8000 vines in production with variants including the Hudson Valley’s first Barbera along with one of the first Syrah in the region.
We proudly produce Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Gamay Noir, Barbera, Syrah, Syrah Rosé, Rosato,
Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Tocai Friulano and a Sparkling Rosé Wine.
Our Winemaker
River Allan
A New York resident for two decades, River is deeply in love with the Hudson Valley and the growth he envisions for the wine community here. With a background heavy in beverage and hospitality specific to New York City, River moved into the cellar working at Virginia’s Premier family-owned winery, Stone Tower, and later became the cellar manager and assistant winemaker at Hudson Valley’s award-winning Millbrook Winery.
As the winemaker at Rosina’s, River loves creating balanced wines with the healthy fruit produced onsite. He has a philosophy of balancing science, craft, and character and lets the fruit speak for itself, with minimal intervention, to guarantee flavor and preservation of the wine for years to come.
He holds a Master's Degree in Enology from Cornell University.

Rosina’s Winery believes healthy and beautiful fruit is the basis for creating unforgettable wines. As we grow and evolve with the land and vines, we will continue to experiment with new and inspiring wines. We are currently fermenting and aging Bianco Macerato, an amber skin contact wine, a Syrah Rosé, our Rosato, a Cabernet Franc Rosé, and our first Tocai Friulano.
