Michele Callisto had a vision of creating a vineyard that was rooted in family tradition and innovative viticulture practices. From these values, Rosina’s Winery, which is named after his mother and daughter, was born.
Our Vineyard
Rosina’s Vineyard is planted on an east-facing hillside of channery silt loam in New York’s Hudson Valley. The orientation and terroir provide stability for the development of stable roots and protection from frost and disease. The land, coupled with sustainable farming practices, produces exquisite fruits with vibrant flavors.
Our Story
Michele’s love of wine began when he was a young child growing up in the small town of Malvito, located in the southern province of Cosenza in Italy’s Calabria region. It was here that Michele harvested his first grapes with his grandfather and eagerly awaited the chance to squish them with his toes.
This love of wine has grown, flourished and transcended countries and decades.
